Some were too heavy to be effectively cleaned out by one person.
Others were made from inferior materials resulting in sediment leakage.
Resulting in extra man hours to effectively clean the inlet devices or purchasing replacement products.
Both of which were not cost effective.

The Silt Trapper is comprised of a powder coated steel frame and a geo-grid silt bag. The exclusive design allows it to quickly and easily filter sediment-laden water. The lightweight yet durable design is reusable, stackable and easier to transport than the competitors. Our product can handle any size project which has made the Silt Trapper very popular among many heavy and general contractors already. The Silt Trapper is also MN DOT certified and approved.
With multiple sizes it can accomodate any size gutter or curb inlet. The Silt Trapper comes in these standard sizes:
